Donation

NVAHOF offers various opportunities for you to support our cause: volunteer your time, make a cash, stock, or bequest donation, contribute to the NVAHOF Building Fund, and donate your photographs, documents, artifacts, books, etc. related to the aerospace history in Nevada.

[Volunteer Opportunities]

NVAHOF appreciates individuals who could volunteer their time to research and write articles for our website. Sharing your knowledge is a great way to help the youth learn from the past.

[Cash Donation]

Cash donation is a quick and easy way to support NVAHOF. Any amount is welcome! NVAHOF accepts cash donations via Paypal. Please use the link at the bottom of the page to make a cash donation via Paypal.

Gift of stock is almost as easy to make a cash donation. When you transfer appreciated stock to NVAHOF, you may be eligible to take an immediate income tax deduction and bypass tax of the appreciation (capital gains) of the stock.

[Bequest]

Bequest to NVAHOF can reduce the taxes on an individual’s estate. If you are interested in making a bequest to NVAHOF, you can either make a bequest of a specific amount of money or property (such as 100 shares of XYZ stock), of a specific percentage of the estate, or a residual bequest in which the remainder of the estate, after all other gifts and expenses are taken care of, will be donated to NVAHOF.

Including NVAHOF as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy – in consultation with your family members and financial advisor – is another way to leave a bequest to NVAHOF. There is no charitable deduction for this gift, because the gift is only realized at the donor’s passing. You can also make NVAHOF the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Premiums paid by the donor may then be tax-deductible.

Below is a sample language for writing a bequest.

For a specific bequest: “I, [name of donor], give [specific amount] to the Nevada Aerospace Hall of Fame, having its offices at ___________ for its general purposes.”

For a percentage bequest: “I, [name of donor], give [a specific percentage] of my estate to the Nevada Aerospace Hall of Fame, having its offices at ___________ for its general purposes.”

As with any gift arrangement, please consult your financial advisor before making a gift to NVAHOF.

[Contribution to the NVAHOF Building Fund]

NVAHOF currently does not have a permanent physical building to display our collections. However, we have received commitments from many organizations to the loan of various artifacts and aircrafts for display, once a permanent home is built in southern Nevada. We, therefore, are initiating a building fund for such facility. Contributors’ wall, which will list donors by the level of their contributions, will be an integral part of this facility.

Contribution levels:

Platinum Eagle: $50,000.00 or more Golden Eagle: $10,000 to $49,999 Silver Eagle: $5,000.00 to $9,999 Bronze Eagle: $1,000.00 to $4,999

[In-kind Donation]

NVAHOF is glad to accept artifacts, documents, photographs, books, etc. which are related to the aviation in Nevada but no longer needed for your personal collections. We have a formal process for the evaluation, selection, and preservation of such items. Please consider NVAHOF as a great option for the disposition of (some of) your collections.
